Botulinum Toxin
Botulinum toxin, commonly known as Botox, is a neurotoxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum that works by blocking nerve signals, inducing temporary relaxation or paralysis of the muscles.
It is administered in controlled doses for aesthetic treatments (wrinkle correction) and therapeutic purposes (management of migraines, hyperhidrosis, spasms, rosacea).
Its effects are temporary and reversible, typically lasting between 3 and 6 months.
